Edward R. Anderson

72 year old, Edward R. Anderson of Rensselaer, passed away July 15, 2020.

On August 23, 1947, in Walthan, Massachusetts, Edward was born to Robert & Mary (Taylor) Anderson. He served in the National Guard for 42+ years. Ed worked to Kankakee Valley Schools for 31 years as a custodian. He was a member of the Wheatfield American Legion #406. Ed liked to fish and trap.

Edward is survived by his loving family: daughters: Amy (Jeff) Daily and Jill (James) Dukes, Janette Desue, Gina (Darryl) Cater, grandchildren: Wyatt Dukes (fiancé Hailee Zander), Madison Dukes, Dalton Daily, Hunter Daily, and brothers: Bobby, & Michael, and sister: Rosie.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter: Amanda Sue, and brother: Billy.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Edward will take place at the funeral home on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Piatt officiating. Military services will follow.  Interment will take place at Marion National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors.
