72 year old, Elizabeth Boerner, of Wheatfield, passed away September 30, 2021 with her loving family around her.
On May 28, 1949, Liz was born in Braunschweig, Germany, to Andrew and Janina (Coich) Machnik. She married the love of her life Jack Boerner, in Winnipeg, Canada, on April 1, 1972. Liz worked for Meijer as a greeter and other positions for 19 years retiring in 2019. She had a passion for sewing and loved being a seamstress. She made quilts for people who touched her life. She liked to bake and can. She loved to travel, and attend Newsboys concerts. She especially loved the holidays, and her family.
Elizabeth is survived by his loving family: children: E. Ann-Marie (Billy) Crownover, Esther Boerner, Jack ‘Andy’ (Chantele) Boerner, 10 grandchildren: Kelsey (Kyle) Erb, Austin (Alisha Nudi) Risner, Candace Risner (Samuel Chapman), Tyler Risner, Skylar Scheidt, McKenna Boerner, Sydney Armstrong, Anya Boerner, Camryn Armstrong, and Jackson Boerner, and 4 great-grandchildren, siblings: Terry (Susanne) Machnik, and Sonya (Gary) Ricard.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband: Jack, brother: Steve Machnik, and her parents.
Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held on October 30, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Refuge Church, 403 E Indiana Ave, Kouts, Indiana.
Per Liz’s wishes cremation will take place.
