Agnes Rose Stavitzke, 82 years, of DeMotte, passed away July 14, 2021, at her home with her family around her.
On October 23, 1938, Agnes was born in South Chicago, Illinois, to Albert and Mary (Chmielowski) Jamrosz. Agnes graduated from Clark High School in Whiting, Indiana. She loved working as a CNA for Regency Place, in Dyer along -side her good friend Sarah Fugate. She was also a QMA at St. Anthony’s Medical Center. She married Frederick Stavitzke (who preceded her). She was a member of St. Cecelia’s Parish, where she was actively involved with the parish and the choir for many years. Agnes liked to cook and bake. She also liked to garden and travel.
Agnes is survived by her family: children: Karen (Gary) Sako, Fred (Rhonda) Stavitzke, Kenneth Stavitzke (Henry Ludwig), Renee’ Tampauskas, seven grandchildren: Aaron, Hannah, Jacob Sako, Katelyn & Garret Stavitzke, Ashley & Ethan Tampauskas, two siblings: Mary Bercier and Helen Bugajski.
Agnes was preceded in death by her: husband Fred, parents: Albert & Mary, sons: Christopher and Nicholas.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, DeMotte, Indiana. Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. with Father Michael McKinney officiating. Interment will follow at the Cemetery of the Resurrection, DeMotte, Indiana.
