Listen to Obituary

Amber Dawn Green, age 39 was mercifully welcomed to her eternal home on January 16, 2026. She died next to her soulmate, William, in their family home, after a four year battle with cancer.

Amber was born on December 31, 1986 to Mark and Thriesa Hubers in her childhood home. She attended DeMotte Christian Schools before moving to Canada for University. Amber earned her Masters of Theology after marrying William P. Green IV on July 29, 2011.

Amber is survived by her beloved husband, William, along with their six precious children, Corianna, Liam, Auburn, Dominick, Patrick, and Samuel, who have all inherited her zest for life; parents, Mark and Thriesa Hubers; siblings, Anna (Derek) Bos, Angela (Eric) Roosma, Nathan Hubers, Alicia (Greg) Beekman, April Hubers; grandparents Bud Hubers and Audrey Kolk; 22 niblings, 29 cousins, plus aunts and uncles who will all miss her spunky generosity and love.

Amber was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Albert Kolk and paternal grandmother: Bernice Hubers.

While it is difficult for anyone who knew Amber to fathom describing her full life in a few words, we would be remiss to not start with the most important: a faithful disciple of Christ. Amber loved the Lord with everything she had. Her desire on earth was to live the Fruits of the Spirit and to show Christ’s love to her family, friends, and the world. She was not afraid of the cancer taking her to meet Jesus; in fact, during her last year, she excitedly longed for the day she would walk through those gates.

Though devastated by this earthly loss, we have both hope and peace knowing Amber is perfect, whole, and with our Creator. Her faith guided her through health struggles with a steadfast strength. Amber rarely complained, always loved, and, more than anything, wanted her life to be a testament to God’s greatness in a way that would draw others to Him.

Amber had a spirit of adventure! She loved working, camping, hiking, swimming, traveling, good food, friends, church, and above all, her God and family. She was a patient, empathetic, witty, empowering mom who gave her kids all they needed in a playful, creative, and spontaneous manner.

Her love and adoration of William leaves a legacy of a beautiful marriage. While both were strong-minded and opinionated, they worked together as a team, simultaneously raising their kids and building a business.

May Amber’s beautiful, selfless, and God-centered life serve as an example to us all.
