Arlene Edna Halsted

89 year old, Arlene Edna Halsted of Wheatfield, passed away June 5, 2012.

On May 21, 1923, Arlene was born to Michael and Anna (nee: Wagner) Scherzer in Freeland, Michigan. Arlene married the love of her life, George Halsted, on February 7, 1953 in Freeland, Michigan. Arlene was a bank teller and a housewife.

Arlene is survived by her loving husband George, two daughters: Debra Ann Halsted, & Sandra (Brian) Scott, and two grandchildren.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Arlene will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Raebel officiating.

Per Arlene’s wishes cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association
