Arthur Long
95 year old, Arthur Long passed September 4, 2008, at his home.
On May 4, 1913, Art was born to Orlando and Eliza (nee: Avery) Long in Jasper County. Art worked for the Budd Plant and farmed and loved his garden. Art married Alice Schreiner on July 9 1936.
Art is survived by one daughter: Barbara Myers, one son: Arthur & Bev Long, 5 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren, one sister Hazel Hilton, a very special friend Geraldean Burling.
Art was preceded in death by his wife Alice, parents, and brothers: Merrel & Guy Long.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, September 7, 2008, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at Boersma Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Shepherd Officiating.
There will be a graveside service held on Monday, September 8, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
