Arthur R. "Art" Newbury Jr.

53 year old, Arthur R. Newbury Jr., of Wheatfield, passed away February 21, 2011.

On April 2, 1957, Arthur was born to Arthur and Marietta (nee: Clemans) Newbury Sr. in Rensselaer, Indiana. Art attended Kankakee Valley High School. Art loved driving truck, and worked for Gypsum Express for the last 4 years. He also owned Wheatfield Tree Service.  He was a member of Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and an active member of the Wheatfield Chamber of Commerce. Art also had a direct line to that little fat jolly man that wore a red suit and would stop by each Christmas.

Art is survived by his children: Art (Kelly) Newbury III and Amy (Larry) Matillo, special friend: Mary Alice Kenning, 7 grandchildren, sisters: Kathy (Simon) Sipkema, and Carolyn (Elliott) Williams, and brother: John (Debra) Newbury and his parents: Arthur and Marietta Newbury Sr. and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit with everyone on Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, In.

Services for Art will take place on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church in Wheatfield, with Father Paternoster Officiating.
