Barbara E. Gilbert-Fitzpatrick

78 year old, Barbara E. Gilbert-Fitzpatrick of DeMotte, passed away February 6, 2018.

On July 24, 1939, in Lake County, Indiana, Barbara was born to Emerson and Violet (Hessling) Cummins. Barbara was a factory worker, assembler for Permonite, in Morocco. She enjoyed crafting, and her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her loving children: Barbie (Jack) Lea, Luke (Cindy) Gilbert, Sandy Bremner, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Marge Creekmur, Sonny (Mary) Cummins and sister-in-law: Donna Cummins.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Luke Gilbert, brother: David Cummins, and son: Michael Fitzpatrick.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Barbara will take place at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, with Pastor Doug Griffith officiating. Internment will follow at the Hebron Cemetery.
