Barbara Hetrick

83 year old, Barbara J. Hetrick, of Wheatfield, passed away on March 29, 2026, with her family around her.

On June 23, 1942, Barbara was born to Francis ‘Frank’ and Emma ‘Lucille’ (Dexter) Odle, in Rensselaer, Indiana. She graduated from Wheatfield High School, class of 1960. Barbara married the love of her life, Kenneth ‘Ken’ Hetrick, on November 5, 1960, in Wheatfield, Indiana. She worked as a cashier at Ace Hardware for many years. Barbara enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, crochet, and she loved to bake.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband: Ken, children: Elizabeth (Art) Finn, Beverly (Jon) Foster, Karla (Bob) Cyrus, grandchildren: Jennifer, Matthew, Gregory, and one great-grandchild: Logan.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and brother: Richard Odle.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April, 6, 2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield. Funeral Services for Barbara will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Adam Sommers officiating. Private interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Rensselaer, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either VNA Hospice or Kankakee Valley Christian Church.
