63 year old, Barbara A. Stewart, of Rensselaer, passed away April 14, 2024, with her loving family around her.
On November 8, 1960, Barbara was born to Timothy Hensley Sr. and Judy (Erb) Osborne in Hammond, Indiana. She worked as a bartender/manager. Barbara was an avid reader, and enjoyed painting, coloring and creating crafts. She especially enjoyed her family, children and country music.
Barbara is survived by her loving family: children: Tracy Carpenter, Stacy Maddox, Kenneth Stewart Jr., Mary (Jason) Martinez, Steven Stewart, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, mother: Judy Osborne, siblings: Maureen (Dan) Baran, Timothy (Wendy) Hensley, Robert (Christina) Hensley, Bryan Hensley, Kevin (Tammy) Benson, Jason (Denise) Osborne, Susan (Chuck) Blankenship, Tuseday Welch, Sandra (Robert) Scott, Cheri Kotlowski, Sandra (Dave) Mangel, Julie (Greg) Brock, Sharon (Jeff) Morris, Jean Babic, Keith Benson, Kelly (Peter) Russo and James Benson, and many nieces & nephews.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father & step-mom: Timothy & Marilyn Hensley Sr., and best friend: Timothy Knight.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Barbara will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
Per Barbara’s wishes cremation will follow.
