Brenda Betancourt

78 year old, Brenda J. Betancourt, of West Lebanon, formerly of Wheatfield, passed away on January 28, 2026.

On October 7, 1947, Brenda was born to Benny and Evline (Hembree) Bennett, in Harlan, Kentucky. She married the love of her life, Rudolph ‘Chico’ Betancourt, on August 12, 1967, who precedes her. Brenda spent her life as a homemaker, taking care of Chico and being a general to a bunch of kids. She enjoyed crochet, and was a big craft lover.

Brenda is survived by her partner: Rex Fink, children: David (Julie) Betancourt, Dawn (Kat) Betancourt, Eric (Kristy) Betancourt, 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Chico, 4 sisters and 5 brothers.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield, Indiana. Funeral Services for Brenda will take place at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment for Brenda will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
