Brian Hohner

October 26, 1957 — September 9, 2025

Henderson, Nevada

Brian Hohner, 67, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on September 9, 2025.

Born in Rensselaer, Indiana on October 26, 1957, Brian was the son of Vincent and Margaret Hohner. He graduated from Kankakee Valley High School and went on to earn his BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. Shortly after, he began what would become a 38-year career with the 3M Corporation, where his dedication, work ethic, and kindness left a lasting impression on colleagues. It was also at 3M in Hutchinson, Minnesota, where Brian met the love of his life, Sarah, and together they built a family filled with love, humor, and devotion, raising their son Matthew.

Brian was known for his love of work and the pride he took in his career. Away from work, he enjoyed playing poker, tinkering with electronics—a passion he inherited from his grandfather—and connecting with others through his FCC license as an Amateur “HAM” radio operator. He also earned his pilot’s license, flying Cessna planes and participating in the Civil Air Patrol. Above all, Brian treasured time at home with his family, where he found his greatest joy.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah; his son, Matthew; his brothers, David, Greg, Mark, and Michael; and the family dog, Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Margaret.

A funeral mass will be held on October 11, 2025, at Sorrowful Mother Church in Wheatfield, Indiana. The time will be announced at a later date.

Brian will be remembered for his steady presence, his humor, his dedication to family and work, and the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed.

Thank you to the family for writing this obituary.
