Carol J. Klip

86 year old, Carol J. Klip, of DeMotte, passed away peacefully with her two loving daughters at her side on April 10, 2022.

On February 20, 1936, Carol was born to Maurice and Tena (Toppen) Cheever, in DeMotte, Indiana. She graduated from DeMotte High School, and later went to beauty college.  She married the love of her life, John Klip, on September 1, 1954, in DeMotte, Indiana. She often worked in her own home at her beauty shop, or at Cheever’s Towing helping in the office. Carol was a member of American Reformed Church, and their Hope Circle. She was an avid reader, and liked to take walks. She really liked spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her daughters: Crystal (Rick) Rose, and Kathy (Steve) Plant, 4 grandsons: Richard (Christina) Rose, Ryan (Danielle) Rose, Jonathan (Julie) Plant, and David (Elizabeth) Plant, and 10+ great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and husband: John.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at American Reformed Church, DeMotte, Indiana. Services for Carol will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Troy Nanninga officiating. Interment will follow at the Holland Cemetery.
