Cecilia 'Sue' Conley

75 year old, Cecilia ‘Sue’ Conley, of Wheatfield, formerly of Crown Point, passed away February 13, 2019 with her loving family around her.

On February 14, 1943, in Gary, Indiana, Sue was born to Everett Friend and Virginia (Parker) Friend-Bobbit. She attended Crown Point High School, and married Charles E. Conley on June 24, 1972 at the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Wheatfield, Indiana. Sue was a postal worker and worked at the Day Care at her church.

Sue is survived by her loving family: husband: Charles, brother: John (Betty) Friend, sister-in-law: Lynette Friend. Also surviving are Charles’ siblings: Patty (Max) Brigide, Lois (Eldon) Knopf, Joyce (Paul) Walcott, Jan Chupp, Russell (Sue) Conley, Calvin (Jana) Conley, Debbie (Greg) Oliver, and Wayne Lanie, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and brother: Michael Friend

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Living Hope Church, 9000 Taft St., Merrillville, Indiana. Services for Sue will take place at the church at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Doug Sheehy officiating interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
