Charles Lewis Green Sr.

84 year old, Charles ‘Chuck’ Green Sr., of Wheatfield, passed away August 3, 2026, at home with his family around him.

On March 28, 1942, Chuck was born to Arthur and Clarabelle (Hammerly) Green, in Los Angeles, California. He married the love of his life, Betty Mathis, on August 6, 1966, in Hermosa Beach, California. Chuck was in the United States Navy from 1959 until 1963. He worked at the Riverside Unified School District, as the Director of Safety, Recycling, and Waste Management. Chuck was a member of the Wheatfield American Legion, Post 406. He loved working in his yard, and was a member of an RV Camping group: The Good Sam’s RV Club. Chuck enjoyed travelling all over, with some of his favorite places being Breman, Rentown, Pennsylvania, Pensacola, Michigan, and so many other places.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife: Betty, children, Charles (Jennifer Cravey) Green Jr., Jennifer (Larry Shepard) Green, sister: Letty Espinosa, and his absolute favorite granddog: Felicia.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, and brother: Arthur Green.

Per Chuck’s wishes cremation will take place.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
