87 year old, Charles E. McLean, of DeMotte, passed away June 8, 2021 at his home.

On September 5, 1933, Charles was born to Wilbert and Florence (Yott) McLean in Newton County, Indiana. Charles served in the U.S. Army. He then married the love of his life, Joyce E McIntire on September 27, 1957 at the Hebron Methodist Church. Charles then worked for Inland Steel at the Coke Plant #2. He was a supervisor. He liked to hunt, fish, and do woodworking. He made cedar chests for his granddaughters.

Charles is survived by his daughters: Linda (Mike) Singleton, Lorie Anderson, & Lisa Shelhart, 7 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, sister: Ella, brothers: Earl, Stanley, and Frank.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife: Joyce, sisters: June, Edna, Ellen, Ruby, and brothers: Wilber, & Glen.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Masonic services will take place at the funeral home at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Interment will take place at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana, on July 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
