Charles Patrick Sr.

91 year old, Charles ‘Charlie’ Patrick Sr., of Wheatfield, passed away May 4, 2026.

On April 10, 1935, in Vest, Knott County, Kentucky, Charlie was born to Oscar and Curtis (Bailey) Patrick. Charles graduated in Hindman Kentucky. He married the love of his life, Genine McCarty (who preceded him). Charlie was a truck driver. He liked to hunt, fish, and garden. He also liked to work on his trucks, and racing. He especially loved his church, Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Charles Sr., is survived by his children: Diane (Mike) Cleveland, Charles Jr. “Bub” (Cindy) Patrick, Beth (Bryan) Burke, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Pauline Steffel, Aileen Clindaniel, Franklin (Carol) Patrick, Geraldine Hinman, Rosalee Douglas, and Truman (Bonnie) Patrick.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Genine, daughter: Sandy Patrick, and granddaughter: Megan Sahlhoff, and brother: Marvin Patrick.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana.

Services for Charlie will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 501 E 550 N, Rensselaer, with Pastor Thurman Ritchie officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
