Charles E. Pettet Sr.

Charles ‘Chuck’ Edward Pettet Sr., 73, of Medaryville, formerly of Wheatfield, was called home to the Lord on April 21, 2025. Chuck was one of 6 children born to Forest V. and Dorothy J. (Hibbs) Pettet. He married Pamela A. Brennan in 1973, spending 51 years together raising 4 children. He will always be remembered as a dedicated “Papaw” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed taking his children fishing and hunting. One of his greatest joys in life was outdoor pursuits and sharing that love with others. He was a US Army Veteran serving with the 82nd Airborne Division, 1/17th Cavalry, Company B. He attended Teaberry Hill Estates Church and was a devout Christian.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Katherine Sullivan, and brothers-in-law: Byron Wood, Douglas Brennan, Michael Brennan, Arnold Beverly, Lawson Sullivan, and Dennis Cromwell.

He is survived by his wife: Pamela, sons: Gregory (Karissa) Pettet, Charles (Erika) Pettet Jr., daughters: Cynthia (Steve) Ferrand, Erica (Scott) Manns, 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister: Dorothy Cromwell, brother: Forest (Ruth) Pettet Jr., sister: Charlene Beverly, brother: Daniel Pettet, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. (EST) on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Teaberry Hill Estates Church, 2194 N. 1550 W., Medaryville, IN 47957. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. (EST) at Teaberry Hill Estates Church, with Pastor Elmer Conley officiating.

Per Chuck’s wishes cremation will take place.
