Christine Tyre

95 year old, Christine Tyre of Wheatfield, passed away March 9, 2017 at her home.

On August 29, 1921, in Salyersville, Kentucky Christine was born to William and Rose (McCarty) Huff. Christine attended school in Kentucky. She married the love of her life Edwin Tyre on July 29, 1950. She worked for Jasper-Pulaski Nursery and Schumachers in Rensselaer. She attended Calvary Assembly of God in DeMotte.

Christine is survived by her loving family, children: Rose (Philip) Howard, Michael (Deborah) Tyre, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband: Edwin, her parents and two half-brothers: Eugene ‘Dick’ Salyers and Ralph Huff.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Christine will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, DeMotte, Indiana. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
