Christopher Mario Contreras

41 year old, Christopher Mario Contreras, of DeMotte, passed away August 14, 2024 from a tragic motorcycle accident.

On May 16, 1983, in Harvey, Illinois, Christopher was born to Mario Contreras and Cindy (Suggs) Downing. He was a sheet metal worker for Union Local 73. Christopher loved music, riding his motorcycle, his mud truck, and drag racing with his daughters. He was a family man who was happiest spending time with his daughters, parents, siblings and the rest of his family.

Christopher is survived by his loving family: parents: Mario (Barbara) Contreras and Cindy (Bill) Downing, daughters: Gianna Contreras, Brooklyn Contreras, Raelynn Contreras, and Kaydense Pointer, siblings: Brittnie (Cody) Jackson, Joseph (Tonya) Ursitti, and Tyler (Emily) Flinn.

Christopher was preceded in death by his grandfather: Raymond Suggs.

Per Christopher’s wishes cremation will take place.

A Celebration of life for Christopher will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Southern Lake County Conservation Club, 8201 W 241st Avenue, Schneider, IN 46376.
