Clayton Hepworth, 73, of Shelby, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024.
Clayton was born in Hammond, Indiana, on January 21, 1951 to Robert Hepworth and Betty Hayes. He was a United States Army Veteran and served our country in the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the Army, Clayton returned to Northwest Indiana where he started a family and had a long career as a Boilermaker and storage tank inspector. He was retired from Consolidated Fabrication and Constructors. Clayton spent his retirement as an actively involved Paw-Paw to his 6 grandchildren: Tyler, Carson, Brooklyn, Bella, Lilliana, Evelyn, and 2 great-grandchildren: Audrey and Kaylee. As Proverbs 17:6 states, they were his “crowning glory.”
Clayton is survived by his sons: Clay (Dawn) and Eric (Ana), 6 grandchildren: Tyler, Carson, Brooklyn, Bella, Lilliana, Evelyn, 2 great-grandchildren: Audrey and Kaylee, brothers: Rick and Scott, sisters: Donna and Terry; as well as, multiple nieces and nephews.
Clayton is preceded in death by his mother: Betty, father: Robert, sister: Sharon, and brother: Bobby.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
