David A 'Butch' Hendrix

78 year old, David A. ‘Butch’ Hendrix, of Wheatfield, passed away March 18, 2024, with his loving family around him.

On December 25, 1945, Butch, was born in Rensselaer, Indiana, to Archie and Nina (Wagoner) Hendrix. He married Donna Noble on June 21, 1969, in Wheatfield, Indiana at the Baptist Church. Butch was a member of the Roofer’s Union Local # 11. Butch was also a U.S. Marine. He was a member of the Wheatfield Legion Post #406, Master Mason of Hebron Lodge #502. He liked to play cards, fish at North Carolina, and giving people a hard time. He enjoyed being in the pits at Shady Hill, and doing yard work.

Butch is survived by his wife: Donna, daughter: Chantel (Jeff) Anderson, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Patricia (James) O’Brien, and Mary (Howard) brady.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents, son: David A. Hendrix, siblings: William Hendrix, John Hendrix, Beulah Gourley, Grace Wireman, Charlie Hendrix, Donald Hendrix.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Butch will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Tim Hestor officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
