Dennis Ramsey

70 year old, Dennis Lee Ramsey, of DeMotte, passed away September 18, 2022.

Dennis was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Henry and Mary (Mandabach) Ramsey-West. He married the love of his life, Charlotte Poquette, on August 31, 1974, in Gary, Indiana. Dennis and Charlotte, moved to DeMotte, Indiana, and began pastoring the United Pentecostal Church of DeMotte, in 1978.  He Pastored the church for 44 years. He liked to work on tractors and lawn mowers. He really liked Hot Rods, and loved going to car shows.

Dennis is survived by his wife: Charlotte, children: Mary (Shane) Van Horn, Dennis Lee Ramsey Jr., Philip J. Ramsey, Thomas ‘Teddy’ (Sarah) Ramsey, Justin (Cassandra) Allen, Lisa Blankenship, 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and siblings: Henry (Gloria) Ramsey, Daniel (Deb) Ramsey, Patrick (Debbie) Ramsey, Paul (Elizabeth) Ramsey and stepsisters: Pat Lee, Evelyn McCall, Joyce (Donnie) Pratt, Betty McCormick, and Lori Hunt.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter: Kassondra Ramsey, brother: John J. Ramsey, infant sister: Susan Rose Ramsey, stepsisters: Judy Slavings, Beverly Woosley, Ramona Hoover.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St, Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Dennis will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. (noon) with Pastor Michael Weedman officiating.

Private family interment will take place at Lincoln Memorial Gardens, Whitestown, Indiana.
