Devon L. Jones Jr.

59 year old, Devon L. ‘Hooch’ Jones Jr. of Rensselaer, passed away September 5, 2025.

On April 6, 1966, Hooch was born to Devon Jones and Gloria (Jones) Jones in Valparaiso, Indiana. He graduated from Kankakee Valley High School. He was a lifetime area resident. Hooch was a truck driver by trade. He liked to attend auctions, and the outdoors. He especially liked animals.

Hooch is survived by his family: step-mom: Gracie Helton; cousins: Randall (Donna) Scott, friends: Jeff (Sheila) Moore, and Collin (Paige) Moore, and a multitude of cousins and friends.

Hooch was preceded in death by his father: Devon L. Jones Sr., mother: Gloria Jones.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Hooch will take place Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Bill Taylor officiating. Graveside Services will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Wheatfield Cemetery.
