Dolores Liston

89 year old, Dolores Liston, of DeMotte, passed away January 22, 2024, at Bickford of Crown Point, Indiana.

On September 20, 1934, in Cedar Lake, Indiana, Dolores was born to Chester G. and Ada (Schmidt) Dickerson. Dolores graduated from Lowell High School in 1952. She married the love of her life, Eugene H. Liston, on March 12, 1955, in Columbia City, Indiana. Dolores worked as a secretary at several banks in the area, including DeMotte State Bank. She liked sewing, baking, gardening, volunteering at Bethesda, and antiquing.

Dolores is survived by her children: Gary (Dawn) Liston, Mark (Laura) Liston, Scott (Jennifer) Liston, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and sister: Ada Jane Dickerson.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene, parents: Chester and Ada, 4 brothers: Robert Dickerson, Walter Dickerson, Donald Dickerson, Hobart Dickerson, and 1 sister: Margie Fleener.

Per Dolores wishes cremation will take place, and interment will take place at a later date at Marion National Cemetery.
