Easter Taylor

92 year old, Easter Marie Taylor, of Medaryville, passed away September 21, 2026.

On February 2, 1934, Easter was born to George and Pokie (Hale) Wireman, in Salyersville, Kentucky. She spent her life raising her family, keeping her kids fed, and loving on her grandchildren. Easter loved to cook, gardening, canning, sewing, and crochet.

Easter is survived by her children: Kenneth (Jean Kaiser) Skalon, Michael (Paula) Skalon, David Skalon, 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and sister: Lucille Justice.

Easter was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Leopold Skalon, Keith Taylor, son: Raymond Skalon, stepdaughter: Rita Taylor, stepson: Donald Taylor, granddaughter: Autumn Dawn Skalon, grandson: Chase Michael Skalon, brothers: Ballard Wireman, Paul Wireman, Allen Wireman, sisters: Madgie Wireman, Adgie Wireman, Barbara Wireman, Gladys Shepherd, Betty Howard, and Goldie Shepherd.

Per Easter’s wishes cremation will take place.

Easter will be buried in the Richie Cemetery at a later date. A Celebration of Life for her will be held at a later date.
