Edna Ball

79 year old, Edna C. Ball, of Wheatfield, passed away June 4, 2022, at her home.

On August 30, 1942, in Springfield, Illinois, Edna was born to Edgar and Elizabeth (Bailey) Hedge. She worked at a security guard at NIPSCO or 20 + years, as well as being a housewife. She enjoyed her birds, and flower garden.

Edna is survived by her children: Betty Jean Ball and her friend: Connie McGill, Gene E. Ball Jr., Greg A. Ball, Butch R. (Julie) Ball, Angela (Gene) Meyer, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, brother: Edgar (Vangie) Hedge.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband: Granvill, parents, and brothers: James Henry Hedge, and Johnny Ray Hedge.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Edna will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jasper County Veteran’s Association.
