Eldon Risner

88 year old, Eldon Risner, of Rensselaer, passed away August 14, 2023, with his loving family around him.

On March 10, 1935, Eldon was born to Donie and Lucinda (Risner) Risner, in Rensselaer, Indiana. Eldon married the love of his life, Hazel Caudill, in Jasper County, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army. Eldon owned Fisher’s Convenience Store, and was a Timber purchaser. He attended the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God.

Eldon is survived by his loving family: granddaughters: Lindsay (Nickolas) Ledger, Taylar (Audry Wright) Risner, great-grandchildren: Jazelle Ledger, Adler Ledger, daughter-in-law: Kim Risner.

Eldon was preceded in death by his wife: Hazel, son: John Eric Risner, parents: Donie & Lucinda, and siblings: James, Edna, Carl, Melvin, Donald, Ralph, and Avanelle.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2003, at the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God. Services for Eldon will take place at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Doug Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, Rensselaer, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God.
