Esther J. Kessinger

90 year old, Esther J. Kessinger, of DeMotte passed away December 23, 2025.

On June 8, 1935, in Chicago Illinois, Esther was born to Henry Feleki and Suzanne (Hegyi) Feleki-Csomer. She graduated from Medaryville High School. Esther worked as a factory worker in Beacher, Illinois. She married the love of her life, Marten ‘Lyle’ Kessinger on March 25, 1967, in DeMotte, Indiana. Esther liked to cook, and especially bake. She enjoyed gardening and cross-stitching. Esther loved to listen to her birds. She especially loved her grandchildren.

Esther is survived by her grandchildren: Zachary Kessinger, Katelynd Kessinger, nieces: Donna (Kevin) Paradis, Susan (John) Christopher, Michelle (Mark) Mulhern, Annette (Mike) Grundell, and Denise (Rick) Allen.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Suzanne, husband: Marten ‘Lyle’ Kessinger, and son: Michael Kessinger.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Interment will follow at the St. John Cemetery, Medaryville.
