Evelyn Kocan

85 year old, Evelyn E. Kocan, passed away July 7, 2008.

On January 2, 1923 she was born to Jesse and Catherine (nee: Steinman) Bennett in Venice, Illinois. On March 31, 1941 Evelyn married Anthony Kocan (who survives). Evelyn worked as a welder for General Motors and has lived in Florida as well as Indiana. She was affiliated with the Greek Orthodox Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony, son, Gary (Berni) Kocan, daughter, Donna Sharp, 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Eileen Ficker and Rose Marie (‘Red’ – Frank) Lemons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters. Per Evelyn’s wishes cremation will take place.

Arrangements are being handled by the Boersma Funeral Home of 90 East Grove, Wheatfield, Indiana.
