Garry Wayne Van Baren Jr.

56 year old, Garry Wayne Van Baren Jr., of DeMotte, passed away August 21, 2020.

On November 5, 1963, in Harvey, Illinois, Garry was born to Garry & Walita (Van Kanegan) Van Baren. Garry was a graduate of Kankakee Valley High School class of 1981. He was a self-employed construction worker. Garry loved life, family and friends. He enjoyed motorcycles, jet skis, wave runners, and traveling.

Garry is survived by: parents: Garry Sr. & Walita, children: Christopher Van Baren, Jason Van Baren, Jessica Van Baren, Abigail ‘Abi’ Van Baren, 6 grandchildren: Laila, Tonya, Ethan, Autumn, Ivy, and Lilah, and brother: Dale (Gina) Van Baren.

Garry was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Adalynn

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Grace Fellowship Church, DeMotte, Indiana. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at the church at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Hester officiating.
