Georgiann 'Sis' B. Kaeb

Georgiann B. “Sis” Kaeb, age 88, of Wheatfield, IN, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones, on Thursday, April 17, 2025. She was born on October 23, 1936, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to the late Georgia and Howard Prior.

Georgiann attended Catholic school and was a devoted member of Sorrowful Mother Church for 60 years. Her faith was central to her life, and she worked every day to serve God. This devotion was a guiding force throughout her life, even as her path led her to meet Robert, the love of her life. They married on June 12, 1954, and began their life together in Colorado. Following Robert's military service, Georgiann and Robert moved to Illinois and eventually Indiana to pursue their dream of becoming farmers. For decades, they lovingly built and worked their farm together, raising their family.

Beyond her faith, family, and creative pursuits, Georgiann enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She cherished fishing trips with Robert, looked forward to friendly games of cards, and was an avid fan of NASCAR and football. She also fulfilled a lifelong dream with a trip to Israel and expressed her artistic side through painting, drawing, and creating special keepsakes for her family.

Together, Georgiann and Robert were blessed with five children: Sandra Arbuckle; Doug (April) Kaeb; Pam Vondrasek; Janet (Brian) McIntosh; and Lynn Talio. She is also survived by her sister, Cindy (Tom) Noverr. Her legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Georgiann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Kaeb; her parents, Georgia and Howard Prior; her brother, Richard Prior; her son-in-law, Steven Arbuckle; and her daughter's companion, Don Neal.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, IN 46392. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, with Father Michael McKinney officiating. Interment will follow at the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Georgiann's name to Sorrowful Mother Food Pantry.

Georgiann's unwavering faith, love for her family, her enjoyment of life, and her creative spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
