80 year old, Geraldine ‘Geri’ Napier, of Rensselaer, passed away March 25, 2024, at her home with her loving family around her.
On May 10, 1943, Geri was born to Jess and Florida (Stone) Bailey. She graduated from Tefft High School, and married the love of her life: Claude Napier, in Gifford, Indiana, on June 17, 1961.

Geri attended the United Baptist Church of Gilham Township. She liked to go to Goodwill shopping in Lafayette. She loved animals, feeding the birds, and stray cats around the neighborhood. She especially enjoyed being around friends and family.
Geri is survived by her son: Calvin (Cella ‘Peach’) Napier, 3 grandchildren: Cella ‘Punkin’ Brown, Jared Vanhoose, and RJ Branch, siblings: Charles ‘Beetle’ (Peggy) Bailey, Brenda Denham, and Susie (Jim) Wall.
Geri was preceded in death by her husband: Claude, parents: Jess and Florida, and sisters: Barbara Owens, and Betty Kessler.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Geri will take place at the funeral home, that evening at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Johnny Miller officiating.
Graveside services for Geri will be held at the Independence Cemetery, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
Family requests no potted plants, only fresh cut flowers.
