Gilbert H. Thomas

72 year old, Gilbert H. Thomas of Medaryville, passed away October 26, 2017.

On December 16, 1944, Gilbert was born to Henri and Maria (Rice) Thomas in France. He was a railroad cop at Bethlehem Steel. He married Linda Walker. Gilbert served in the U.S. Navy.

Gilbert is survived by his wife: Linda, children: Chris Hartley-Boze, ‘Bobby’ (Peggy) Campbell, Kim Campbell, and Kevin Campbell (girlfriend: Beth), 14 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren, 1 brother: Marcel Thomas, and sister: Simone Pohl.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Gilbert will take place at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. (CST) with Pastor Paul Gritten officiating. Interment at Marion National Cemetery will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
