75 year old, Goldie M. Roberts, of Wheatfield, passed away July 1, 2026, at home with her family around her.

On November 25, 1950, Goldie was born to Lester and Haley (Wireman) Jones, in Rensselaer, Indiana. She graduated from Wheatfield High School, class of 1968. Goldie worked as a waitress at the LaPatkins Restaurant, and then for food services at the Porter Memorial Hospital, She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right. Goldie loved going on cruises and going to South Carolina to visit with family. Family was everything to Goldie and she loved hers fiercely.

Goldie is survived by her son: Douglas Roberts, grandchildren: Felicia (Cassie Gibbons) Sytsma, Cody (Haley Wotherspoon) Sytsma, Chloe (Matthew) Arflin, Harley (Jessica Roth) Roberts, Blake Roberts, great-grandchildren: Ellie, Callum, and her sister: Dorothy ‘Jeanie’ (Scott) Lacey.

Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Rose Marie Myers, and brother: Cecil Ray Wireman.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street. A Funeral Service for Goldie will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Helton and Pastor Adam Conley officiating. Interment for Goldie will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026 at the Kankakee Township Cemetery.
