Helen J. Parker-Bailey

69 year old, Helen J. Finney-Parker-Bailey of Wheatfield, passed away January 28, 2016.

On January 6, 1947, Helen was born to Jesse and Patricia (Chernowsky) Finney in Wheatfield, Indiana. Helen graduated from Wheatfield High School in 1965. Helen married Curtis “Ron” Parker on October 16, 1965 (who preceded her), and then married Paul Bailey on July 10, 1998 (who preceded her). Helen worked as a bookkeeper.  She was a member of Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church and loved helping at the food pantry.

She is survived by her children: Shannon (Chad) Helton and James (Melissa) Parker, 5 grandchildren: Hanna & Trevor Helton, Andrew, Jason & Lucas Parker, siblings: Alice Finney, Patricia (W. Dean) Fox, & Catherine Wahl, and an extended step-family.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, first husband: Curtis “Ron” Parker, second husband: Paul Bailey.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana.  A 7:00 p.m. prayer service will take place at the funeral home on Sunday evening. Mass will take place on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church with Father Paul Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery, Wheatfield, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church Food Pantry.
