Hershall 'Andy' Vires

81 year old, Hershall ‘Andy’ Vires, of North Judson, passed away July 30, 2026.

On July 24, 1945, Andy was born to Tilden and Nannie Belle (Spencer) Vires, in Perry County, Kentucky. He married the love of his life, Phyllis Miller, on June 25, 1966, in Medaryville, Indiana. Andy was a foundry worker at Teledyne Casting. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mowing, gardening, and just being outside in general. Andy loved going to sporting events, and attended as many of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s events as he possibly could.

Andy is survived by his loving wife: Phyllis, children: Andrea (Mike) Darnell, David Vires, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren with one more on the way, and siblings: David (Diana), John, and Carole.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: William, Harrison, and sisters: Alice, Pearl, Donna, and Shirley.

Per Hershall’s wishes cremation will take place.
