Homer W. Steele

76 year old, Homer W. Steele, of Wheatfield, passed away at his home with his loving family around him, on September 3, 2022

Homer was born on February 25, 1946, in LaPorte, Indiana to Charles and Lois (Meyers) Steele. He married the love of his life, Robin Marshall on May 26, 1972, at the DeMotte United Methodist Church. He was a Boilermaker, Local #374. He was an avid Notre Dame, Pittsburgh Steeler, and White Sox fan.  Homer enjoyed the old TV shows: Old Westerns, SiFi, Sherlock Holmes, Andy Griffith, Raymond, and Frazier. He especially loved being a grandfather, watching the grandchildren playing sports, etc.

Homer is survived by his wife: Robin, children: Amanda (Travis) Williams, Andrew (Kelsey) Steele, 6 grandsons, and 2 great-granddaughters.

Homer was preceded in death by his parents, and brother: Bob Steele.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Community Bible Church, DeMotte, Indiana. Funeral services for Homer will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Community Bible Church, with Pastor Rodney Tolleson officiating. Interment will follow in the DeMotte Cemetery.
