Howard 'Porky' Glovier

74 year old, Howard ‘Porky’ Glovier, of Valparaiso, went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2024.

On December 3, 1949, in Wise County, Virginia, Howard was born to Arvil ‘Paul’ and Ruby (Phillips) Glovier. Howard graduated from River Forest. He married Beverly (Conley) Glovier, on December 13, 1987, in Pulaski County, Indiana. Howard loved to work, was an outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening. He especially loved being around his grandchildren, and classic cars. He was passionate about life.

Howard is survived by his wife; Beverly, children: Angela (David) Britt, Glen (Marcola) Wireman, Nathan (Kristy) Wireman, Amanda (Andrew) Reeve, Kurtis (Kelsey) Erb, 23 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren, siblings: Thelma Apperson, Sharon Stimson, Sheila Henning, Sheryle Calhoun, Phil Glovier, Terry Glovier, and Tim Glovier.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. (EST) on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the Amazing Grace Church, Francesville, Indiana. Services for Howard will take place Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Tod Masters officiating. Graveside services for Howard will take place on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. (EST) at White Post Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Denham Freewill Baptist Church.
