Inez Walther

Mrs. Inez Sigrid Elizabeth Walther, 96, of DeMotte formerly Fair Oaks, passed away at 5:45 P, Sunday, December 17th, 2006 at Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village, DeMotte, IN.

Mrs. Walther was born in Chicago, IL on April 30, 1910, the daughter of the late Samuel A and Signe (Johanson) Forsberg.

She was employed as a School Teacher in Keeneyville, & Naperville IL, and also Newland, South Barkley, Parr, Kniman , and DeMotte in Jasper County, for 35 Years retiring in 1973.

She was the widow of Herbert William Walther.

She is survived by:

Daughter(s):  Janice Barger

Dorothy  ( Leigh) Sherman

Son(s):  Donald W  (Elaine) Walther

She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren

Sister(s):  Lilly Berg, Margie Foxvog

Also Survived by: Former sons In-Law

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday  Dec. 20, 2006  from 2-8 PM  at Boersma Funeral Home.

Religious Service at Faith Lutheran at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 21st,  with Rev. Jared Raebel officiating.  Mrs. Walther's body will lie-in-state after 9 AM until time of service

Interment at St John Lutheran Cemetery of Parr.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or to Oak Grove.
