Jacob 'Jack' Fischer

79 year old, Jacob ‘Jack’ Fischer, of Wheatfield passed away November 9, 2012, after a long illness.

On September 15, 1933, Jack was born to Gustav & Louise (nee: Rubin) Fischer in Blue Island, Illinois. Jack was a graduate of Wheatfield High School and married Edith Marie Dunham on July 4, 1955 in Wheatfield, Indiana. He was an employee of a local farm Service for 43 years as a truck driver.  Jack proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW 6841 in Lowell, Indiana.

Jack is survived by his wife: Edith Marie, daughter: Annette (Richard) Wiltfang, grandchildren: Johathan Henry Wiltfang & Noelle Louise Wiltfang and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Bernice Akers & Dorothy Barker.

A private family graveside service for Jack took place at the DeMotte Cemetery, DeMotte, Indiana.
