James D. Austin

47 year old, James D. Austin, of Rensselaer, passed away at his home on May 7, 2021.

On March 19, 1974, in Hammond, Indiana James was born to Eddie and Elizabeth (Hubbard) Austin. James married the love of his life, Tracie Gross on May 15, 2010 in Rensselaer, Indiana. James worked for Genova Plastic as a factory worker for 18 years. James liked to listen to music (rap), watch TV, and being around his family.

James is survived by his family, wife: Tracie, children: Joshua Hensley, Paige Austin, Breanna Austin, Daisy Souders, Kloi Austin, Caitlyn Hanley and father: Eddie Austin, siblings: Jill Johnson and John (Skipper) Austin, mother-in-law: Coleen Long, many nieces & nephews, and several aunts & uncles.

James was preceded in death by his mother: Elizabeth.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. A Family & Friends Service will take place at the funeral home, Monday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Per James’ wishes cremation will take place.
