James Davis Jr

56 year old, James Davis Jr., of Winamac, passed away October 7, 2026, surrounded by family.

On May 21, 1970, James was born to James Sr. and Ethel (Slattery) Davis, in Wolcott, Indiana. He graduated from Kankakee Valley High School, class of 1989. James married his love, Tabitha Archer, on August 18, 1989, in Rensselaer, Indiana. He was a truck driver with ATM Trucking. James loved to go fishing, enjoyed traveling, classic cars, and surrounding himself with family and friends.

James is survived by his wife: Tabitha, children: Heather Sowers, Kimberly (Kenneth) Vessels, Robert (Georgette) Davis, Crystal Davis, 11 grandchildren, and sister: Lisa (Rick) Vonville.

James was preceded in death by his parents.

Per James’s wishes cremation will take place.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. (CST) on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to family.
