James W. Guertin

72 year old, James W. Guertin of Wheatfield passed away January 16, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center, Crown Point, Indiana.

On December 30, 1942, James was born to Exor and Mary (Trumble) Guertin in Kankakee, Illinois. James served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. On November 4, 1967, James married the love of his life, Zilla Mae Lucas in Crown Point, Indiana. James worked for Maintenance Company for 39+ years.

James is survived by his loving family: wife: Zilla, children: Carmen (David) Adcock, Mark (Billy Jo) Guertin, Lila (Josh) Bunch, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild and siblings: Alice Hyatt, and Sharon (Ed) Gasper.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Exor and Mary, and several siblings.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for James will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. with Pat Donnelly officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
