74 year old, James A. ‘Jim’ Guisinger, of Wheatfield, passed away on May 11, 2026.
On January 3, 1952, Jim was born to Melvin and Mary (Casey) Guisinger, in Piqua, Ohio. He graduated from Bradford High School in Bradford, Ohio, class of 1970. Jim married the love of his life, Patricia Jacob, on December 4, 1976 in Hicksville, Ohio. He was employed at Dietrich Industries for over 20 years, before he and his wife owned and ran Jim’s Café. Jim spent many years cooking and feeding the people of our community. He was a professional motivator, and the number one fan of his grandchildren’s sporting events. Jim enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques, going to antique malls, watching golf, and watching old movies, specifically old sci-fi’s.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife: Pat, children: Zac (Brandy) Guisinger, Ben (Tiffany) Guisinger, Bob (Nikki) Guisinger, Bill (Shelley) Guisinger, Abby (Scott) Van Loon, grandchildren: Justin, Karley (Hayden), Leland, Dakota, Jacob, Joey, Levi, Addison, Grace, Sophia, Lilly, Austin, sister: Mary Sargent, and sister-in-law: Wilda Guisinger.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Dorothy Ziegler, and brothers: Bud Guisinger, and Bobby Guisinger.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield. A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, 165 South Grace Street, Wheatfield, with Father Michael McKinney officiating. Interment will follow at the Cemetery of the Resurrection.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
