90 year old, James Earl Wolfe, of Westville, passed away on February 16, 2026, at home with his loving family around him.

On September 3, 1935, James was born to Joseph and Nila (Sweet) Wolfe, in Martinsville, Illinois. He married the love of his life, Eva Neeley, on February 16, 1957, who precedes him. James owned and operated Wolfe Construction, and raised 8 children after his wife’s passing. He enjoyed being outside, travelling, camping, motorcycles, road trips, and just driving around. James liked to ride snowmobiles, pitch horse shoes, and basketball. He was a carpenter who loved to make furniture, toys, and make hope chests for his girls.

James is survived by his children: Vicki Ruiz, Brooks Wolfe, Renae Swanberg, Pamela (Robin) Gear, Bradley (Eve) Wolfe, Garry Wolfe, Marla (Kevin) Wolfe-Harbart, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and brother: John Wolfe.

James was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Eva, son: Gregory Wolfe, brother: Brenton Wolfe, and sisters: Dorothy Call, Marion Bey, Naomi Nelson, and Charlotte Nagel.

A Funeral Service for James will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield, Indiana, with Pastor Robin Gear officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
