Janice Marie Cady

72 year old, Janice Marie Cady, of Lake Village passed away May 10, 2017.

On February 9, 1945, Janice was born to Robert Hanley and Myrl (Larrence) Hanley-Forsyth in Gary, Indiana. Janice graduated from Mt. Ayr in 1963, and married the love of her life Larry Cady in Roselawn, on June 22, 1963. She worked as the secretary of Lincoln Elementary School for 29 years. Jan enjoyed playing euchre with the neighbors, cross-stiching and spending time with family and friends as well as traveling with Larry. She was a member of the Roselawn United Methodist Church.

Janice is survived by her loving family: husband: Larry, daughters: Laura (Ray) Chambers, & Stacey Hass, grandchildren: Kelli Wallin, Shawna (Phillip) Drennen, & Jake (Emily) Chambers, great-grandchildren: Myalynn & Adalyn Chambers, step-mother: Lorraine Hanley, siblings: Robert (Jan) Hanley & Pat (Jim) Anderson.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents: Robert Hanley, and Myrl (David) Forsyth.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Jasper County Hospice.
