Jennie Margaret Horton

83 year old, Jennie Margaret Horton of Wheatfield passed away July 24, 2014.

On April 1, 1931 in Troy, Michigan to Alva and Lillian (nee: Roberts) Whited. Jennie has been an area resident since 1969. Jennie worked as a baker at the Kankakee Valley High School for over 10 years.

Jennie is survived by her son: Daniel (Marsha) Horton, grandchildren: Jeremy & Carley Horton, Katie Collins, Brittany Huddelston, special niece who was like a daughter: Angie Collins and her children Trent Mendyke, Tyler Mendyke, and Mikayla Collins, siblings: Fred (Sherri) Whited, Alvin (Bernice) Whited, Darwin Whited, and Edna Shull.

Jennie was preceded in death by her husband: Ronald W. Horton, 1 infant son, and siblings: Sally Zentz, Sherman Whited, and 2 infants.

Per Jennie’s wishes graveside services will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wheatfield Cemetery with Rev. Daniel W. Horton officiating.
