Jo Ann Lock

76 year old, Jo Ann Lock, of DeMotte, passed away July 17, 2026.

On December 7, 1949, in Hammond, Indiana, Jo Ann was born to Edward and Agnes (Eckert) Albright. She graduated from Morton High School class of 1967. Jo Ann married the love of her life, Thomas Lock on November 9, 1974, at St. John Bosco Church, Hammond, Indiana. She worked as a crossing guard at Hammond for the Hammond Police, working her way up to the head of the department for over 15+ years. Jo Ann was also the ‘team grandma’ for many baseball teams.

Jo Ann is survived by her loving family: husband: Thomas, daughter: Andrea (Bryce) Fox, five grandsons, and a half-brother: Byron Peters.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Graveside services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
