Joan Maxine Caldwell

85 year old Joan Maxine Caldwell, of Wheatfield, passed away June 25, 2016.

On March 2, 1931 in Wheatfield, Indiana, Joan was born to Arthur and Jessie (Downy) Schreiner. Joan was a lifetime area resident and attended Wheatfield High School. She was a homemaker. Joan married Samuel Morgan Caldwell (who preceded her) on November 14, 1970 in Medaryville, Indiana. Joan was a member of the Wheatfield Penticostal Church of God.

Surviving family members are: Barbara (Howard) Becher, Bonnie Solomy, & Dick Caldwell, grandchildren: Jeanette Meeks and special friend: Terry Seitzinger, Arthur Howard, Tanya (Ed) Sanders, Debra (Pete) Walstra, 7 great-grandchildren, and Therese (Emmette) Murray.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband: Sam, children: Bruce Howard, Jerry Caldwell and Anita Paul, sister: Phyllis Hicks, and special friend: Pete Stidam.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Service for Joan will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Eveston Risner officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
